About the role:

The Content Acquisition Department is seeking a Video Research Associate, this position is responsible for researching and finding the best User-Generated Content available on the Internet that aligns with business & creative needs within the associated deadline.

This role is part of the Content Acquisitions Department, operating 24/7 to fulfil our brands creative requirements.

This is an entry level position.

Responsibilities: your day-day:
  • Building an understanding of creative requirements for multiple internal clients, sense of what they need
  • Search for and submit user created videos with viable leads for specific business and project needs in a timely manner
  • Videos must be interesting, unique videos that fulfil business needs, and meet a set of creative and clearance requirements
  • Research and ensure leads submitted are viable leads for clearance
  • Meet regular deadlines in a newsroom-like environment
  • Complete tasks that support the acquisition of content
  • Handoff daily tasks and communicate effectively in a team setting
Qualifications: you have:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent; a degree in media is an advantage
  • Resourceful online research skills with knowledge of video-sharing platforms like Reddit, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tiktok
  • Strong skills and awareness of trends on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit feeds
  • Thorough understanding of media/pop culture/internet trends and viewer preferences.
  • Ability to differentiate between an original video upload and a re-uploaded copy
  • Ability and flexibility to work multiple shift timings
  • Well versed with Outlook use and Microsoft use
