Location:
We have offices in New York, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, and Gurgaon. We welcome you to work in any of our offices, but you also have the opportunity to work from home.
About the role:
Data at TMB is seeking a skilled, creative, and technically well-rounded Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team.
Reporting to the Director of BI and Analytics Engineering, the BI Analyst is responsible for internal reporting using the 4 stages of analytics, Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and Prescriptive, to inform actionable business decisions across all business areas. In our highly collaborative environment, analysts work closely with the Data Science, Engineering, and Analytics Engineering teams to develop and deliver relevant data products to stakeholders. Analysts design, build, and maintain dashboards to interpret data that solves a problem, and makes recommendations to the business.
About you:
You have experience in SQL, dashboard building, statistical analysis, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You are excited by designing visually attractive and actionable data products that drive decisions. You also may have experience outside of data that drives your business acumen.
Your day-day: (aka Responsibilities)
- You will use your strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices to build new dashboards and update existing that drive business decisions
- Your knowledge of data sources, data layers, and pipeline processes will be put to work understanding how the information fits together to create an accurate picture of the business
- You will collaborate cross-functionally both within the larger data team and with business stakeholders
- You will identify opportunities for further analysis and provide narrative explanations to support stakeholders interpretation of data products
You have:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 1-3+ years of professional experience in data analytics and/or statistical modeling
- Dashboard building proficiency with the ability to communicate concise, curated, and targeted insights and recommendations
- Expertise in SQL for data manipulation and data layering
- Training in statistical modeling and statistical methods
- Experience with BI reporting tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
