About the role:
The IT Infrastructure department at TMB is looking for a Manager of Devops. This is a hands-on, contributory role.
The Manager of Devops oversees a group of Devops engineers and the daily operations of the team. The team is responsible for the daily support and operations of pipelines and applications in Azure, AWS and GCP, as well as the timely support of our development and QA teams. The team is also responsible for the overall architecture, design, security and maintenance of our cloud environments.
The Manager of Devops is expected to perform duties on par with a Senior Devops Engineer role, along with the day-to-day management of the team. This includes creating and maintaining pipelines, supporting the Development and QA teams, responding to security incidents and infrastructure issues.
This role reports to the Director of Devops and will have strong relationships with the PMO, Development and QA teams as well as the rest of the IT Infrastructure team.
About you:
You should have extensive Devops experience working with teams across the US, India, and other international locations, as well as a strong background in managing multiple Cloud Environments. You have experience creating processes and documentation and can transfer processes and knowledge to others on the team. You also have at least five years experience managing a team and driving incident resolutions. You have scripting, CI/CD and Cloudflare experience and provide excellent customer service. Wordpress and Gitlab experience highly preferred.
Your day-day:
The Manager of Devops is responsible for the daily operations of the local Devops team. You will monitor the teams’ activities and ensure all processes and support tasks are carried out according to plan. You will work with the larger IT Operations team to ensure standards are consistent across all locations. You will also have a close relationship with the business leaders and end users to understand their needs and expectations. Your work hours are flexible and you will need to be available across various time zones as projects require.

- Monitor cloud/infrastructure reporting and ensure timely response by the team.
- Monitor security of application environments and take appropriate actions.
- Attract, motivate, coach, and develop team members for high performance.
- Enhance documentation of standard processes, procedures, and outage resolutions
- Perform in a leadership role in a larger global support organization. Contribute to projects, process improvements, and budgeting activities.
You have:
The Devops team at Trusted Media Brands is made up of Devops professionals who support three distinct application groups; GCP/Wordpress, Azure/.NET and AWS/Java. This diverse team works closely together, sharing information across groups and helping each other out. The Devops team is a close partner to the Application Development and QA teams, providing them the tools, support and infrastructure necessary to do their job.
- 10 years experience in an Devops Engineer role.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and strong documentations and organizations skills.
- 5 years experience creating and documenting processes to be followed by support personnel.
- 5 years experience managing a staff.
- Experience with scripting/development toolsets (PHP, Bash, C, Python, Ruby, Java).
- Experience with Linux Administration.
- Experience with Wordpress highly preferred.
- Experience with Gitlab CI/CD - highly preferred, will consider similar.
- Experience with Cloudflare - highly preferred, will consider similar.
- Experience with Kubernetes/Containerization.
- Strong background/understanding of Networking.
- Database Administration experience (MySQL/PostgresSQL/SQL Server) a plus.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior resources.
